MnDOT looking to improve 23/7 crossing in Clara City

Accidents at the intersection of state Highways 23 and 7 in Clara City and a desire to improve mobility on Highway 23 led the city, Chippewa County and the Highway 23 Coalition to ask MnDOT to look at ways to improve the intersection.

MnDOT announced the Corridors of Commerce projects today. Two projects are in the Bloomington/Richfield area, one project in Elk River, and one project in the St. Michael/Albertville area. These four projects use up all available Corridors of Commerce money. The Highway 23 Coalition is disappointed that one of the four-lane gaps on Highway 23 was not funded by the Corridors of Commerce program.
